eSIM for Bali & Indonesia – online from touchdown
Whether it’s the rice fields of Ubud, surfing in Canggu, temple tours or island hopping to Lombok and the Gili Islands – with a mySIM24 eSIM you stay connected across Indonesia, without queuing for a local SIM at the airport or registering your passport.
Why an eSIM for Indonesia?
Indonesia is outside the EU, so roaming is expensive. An eSIM is cheaper, ready to go instantly, and you keep your home number for WhatsApp & co. The basics: What is an eSIM?
Which plan?
- Short Bali break (1 week): 5–10 GB
- Round trip (2–3 weeks): 20 GB
- Backpacking / heavy user: unlimited daily packages – mind the fair-use rules
Travelling on through Southeast Asia (Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore)? A regional Asia eSIM pays off. The plan finder helps you choose.
Network coverage
Good 4G on Bali, Java and in the tourist centres. Signal can vary on smaller islands and in remote areas (volcanoes, jungle).

Plan checklist for Bali and Indonesia
Do not compare price alone. The package should cover the whole trip and match the way you use data:
- Validity begins at the right time
- Allowance includes roughly 20 percent headroom
- 4G/5G and available partner networks are described clearly
- Hotspot is permitted when sharing with a laptop or companion
- A top-up or replacement package is available if use increases
In Bali, navigation, ride services and accommodation chats are key uses. For travel to other islands, inspect country coverage and keep a strong offline backup.
Small or large allowance?
For maps, messaging and occasional searches, 5–10 GB often covers one week. Regular video, cloud photos, video calls or tethering point towards 20 GB or an unlimited plan. Always read “unlimited” together with daily high-speed limits and fair use. The travel data guide helps calculate an allowance.
Bali and Indonesia eSIM FAQ
Does the travel eSIM include a phone number? Many offers are data-only. Keep the familiar number active on the home SIM while messaging apps use the eSIM connection.
Check the activation policy in the plan details before buying. Depending on the plan, validity starts at purchase, on installation or on the first connection to a supported network. Install the profile over reliable Wi-Fi at the time recommended for your plan.
What if it shows no service? Check the selected data line, roaming instructions, automatic network selection and APN. Do not delete the profile too quickly because QR codes are often single-use.
